HAL Laboratory

HAL Laboratory, Inc. is a second-party developer for Nintendo and is based in Tokyo. The game developer created the Kirby series and Super Smash Bros. series, in addition to contributing resources to Earthbound and Pokemon Stadium, amongst other titles.

HAL Laboratory has a 50% stake in Warpstar Inc. (with the other 50% being owned by Nintendo) which was created to produce the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.

Kirby's Dream Land to be released on 3DS eShop

Kirby's Dream Land will be releeased on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on June 27 (today!) in the United States1 and on June 30 in Europe & Australia2. Originally released for the Game Boy in 1992, the platform title stars Kirby who needs to reclaim the stolen food for Dream Land. The game was developed by Hal Laboratory and is a welcome addition to the growing awesomeness that is the eShop.
