Metroid series

Metroid is a series of action-adventure science fiction games created by Gunpei Yokoi and Hitoshi Sakimoto. Although Nintendo is the primary developer and publisher of the series, Metroid is notable in that development responsibilities have been handled by several different development houses over the span of the series, from Nintendo R&D1 to Intelligent Systems, Retro Studios, and Team Ninja1

Games in the Metroid series focus on female bounty hunter Samus Aran and her fight against the Space Pirates, the dragon-like alien Ridley, and the evil supercomputer Mother Brain, and their interaction with the Metroids, jellyfish-like creatures capable of immense power.

The duality of her character within Other M is confusing in and of itself, and only lends to the feeling that the Samus of the cinema scenes simply doesn't belong..."
