Platinum Games is an indepdendent game developer in Japan. The studio was formed as ODD Ltd. (later ODD Inc.) in February 2006 and in October 2007 merged with Seeds Inc., and changed its name to Platinum Games.
The company pushes titles bursting with artistic freedom, something that a number of the main staff found they were unable to have while at Clover Studio under Capcom1.
