Project Sora

A former game developer and subsidiary of Nintendo

Project Sora

Project Sora was founded in January 2009 by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and former HAL Laboratory employee Masahiro Sakurai. While Sakurai had created Sora to be contracted for work, it was determined by Iwata (his former president at HAL) that a development studio should be formed to work on Kid Icarus: Uprising.

According to the studio's official website, Project Sora was closed on June 30, 2012 for unspecified reasons1.
