Man, I forgot SNES games used to cost that much. I vaguely remember paying $70 for Starfox. It's pretty sad to think you can go and get a PS3 game on a 50GB Blu-ray disc for $60, ten bucks less then a SNES cartridge 13 years ago that held 128MB.
It might have something to do with the expense of the format; cartridges cost more to produce than discs, no matter what color or the quantity of rays. However, there seems to be a lot rumblings in the industry about how development costs are catching up or exceeding retail prices... I think we're going to be soon looking at prices more akin to what they were 15 years ago. Weird.
