Donkey Kong Land

A Platform game for Game Boy by Rare and Nintendo in the Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country series

Donkey Kong Land box art

An original (and portable!) followup to Donkey Kong Country. This time, a bitter Cranky Kong, jealous of all the success Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have had from Donkey Kong Country, asserts that the only reason their first adventure was such a big hit was because of all the fanciy graphics and sound, thereby challenging that they'd never cut it on an 8-bit system. Against his own brethren, the haggard, spiteful, geriatric gorilla allies himself with that old dastard, King K. Rool, who contrives to steal the banana hoard once again.
