The portable extension of Fabula Nova Crystallis FINAL FANTASY XIII, Final Fantasy Type-0​ promises to utilize gameplay similar to Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII but with the Active Time Battle System. An international release of the game is believed to be in development1.

  • The game was originally titled Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Agito is Latin for "to put in motion," which may have be a reference to the game's platform.2
  • On the 2nd of August, 2008 Square-Enix announced the title was also being developed for PlayStation Portable3.
  • Type-0 will be the second title to utilize two UMD discs (the first being The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC)4.

Producer Hajime Tabata talks about Final Fantasy Agito XIII and The 3rd Birthday

Square Enix has not revealed much information for both Final Fantasy Agito XIII and The 3rd Birthday for quite some time, with the exception of the debut trailers. Since the announcement of the platform switch from mobile phone to the PSP for both games two years ago, very little information has been revealed. Producer Hajime Tabata posted some information on his Twitter page in regards to both games. Read on
