Jouji "George" Kamitani is the founder and president of independent games developer Vanillaware. Kamitani is renowned for his artistic talents, and, in addition to directing in-house games, he serves as lead artist. In the industry of games, Vanillaware stands out as one of the only lasting developers to embrace the plane of the second dimension: all their games, from Odin Sphere to Muramasa: The Demon Blade are presented using elegant and complex 2-D sprites.
