Toshiyuki Itahana is a character designer and director for Square Enix. After graduating from vocational school, he entered the game company Banpresto as a character illustrator. As a member of Banpresto's staff, he worked on the Square dungeon-crawling title for Playstation, Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon. When Square and Enix merged, he joined the new company as a character designer. His first game as a director was Code Age Commanders. Itahana is also the director for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for the Nintendo Wii.
