The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D mockup wouldn't be an utter impossibility... Thinking on it now, having a handheld Majora's Mask where you could kind of just set things down on your own time - close it, set it aside and come back to it later - might be a game play element some fans will actually take to and might really appreciate.

Troubled 3DS drops price to $169; Nintendo "rewarding" early adopters

In a corporate news brief today, Nintendo has announced an $80 price drop for Nintendo 3DS, effective August 12. The price slash comes less than six months after the launch of the handheld console, plagued by sluggish sales caused by a lackluster game library, an online distribution platform that his been critically dismissed as a pathetic joke1, and fierce competition2 from its predecessor, the Nintendo DSi.

Gaming’s fractured superficiality comes in large part from the disconnect between the medium’s interactive portions -- which, in almost every big-name title, revolves around violence, destruction, and killing -- and the cinematic aspirations which attempt to humanize the sociopaths you play as.

The reasoning for the choice was because we wanted to take full advantage of the unique characteristics of the N3DS. The system excels at creating the illusion of depth and allows users to see stereoscopic 3D without the use of glasses. With the majority of the game taking place in dense jungles, Snake Eater seemed like the best fit to take advantage of these features. In the jungle, there are trees, stones, occasional waterfalls that extend off into the distance, making it a good fit for 3D. With the capabilities of N3DS, we are able to show off the depth and breadth of these beautiful natural environments like never before.
