BlogThe Final Fantasy XIV open beta begins on Tuesday the 31st of August at 19:00 (PDT) or Wednesday September 1 at 2:00 (GMT) depending on which timezone is more relevant to you.

A patch has been released for those who participated in the closed beta, and at this stage it appears no registration is available for those who were not. However, you can download the client here from the official website. A small update followed by a 1.24GB patch will be required after installation.

As previously stated the game will limit the amount of experience one can earn in a week. Reports also indicate that players so far are happy with the solo play abilities of the game (compared to Final Fantasy XI).

I am currently downloading the client and will post my opinions on the beta on this blog.
