  1. I'm not gonna lie-I fucking love this movie. First time in my life I sat there with a big stupid grin for a full hour and a half.

It's the little things, you know (e.g. pee meter)?

  3. I'll have to watch it again...to me it was a good watch but I'm not as excited about it as other gamers are. Funny - I would have thought now being a cinema student I'd be jumping up and down in excitement...I dunno. Something about it wasn't quite fully there for me.

  5. @Alex I have to agree. I enjoyed the movie, but it seemed so very shallow. I think it tried to emulate video games too much and forgot that it should be a movie first. I've heard the game is pretty good, so this makes some sense. Better off as a game.

  7. @Nels That's probably part of it for me; at least other game to film concepts only include one solid concept. For me the style was cool and I enjoyed it, perhaps the narrative just seemed somewhat stupid given it was set in the 'real world'. Even Lara Croft was just a chick with guns at the end of the day, so it seemed more plausible. The Silent Hill film was J-Horror (even if it wasn't the best film in the genre...at all but still passable) which is established to not be entirely normal.

I dunno, I'm happy they made it and I'm glad it won't have lost money thanks to DVD and Blu-Ray sales. I think it against other comics is problematic because unlike super heroes or magic users and such this story is in the real world with gaming elements thrown in so it seems strange to me.

There I've rambled somewhat, maybe that'll make sense to someone haha.
