Nintendo boss admits: Wii U could have had better launch

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's global president, seems slightly confused... Nintendo has undoubtedly again reinvented how we play computer games. But the question is whether, in the face of growing competition, it can make its maverick, wacky dreams for the Wii U as affordable and easy to understand as the Wii.

@Son_Gara Apparently you can't buy them separately though, they only come with the system. You'll only ever need one, I guess. And yeah Wii U will be more expensive than Wii no doubt. I bet we'll be paying more than $300.

@Matt yes, the addition of 1080p output, that controller AND Wii support can't be cheap to shove into one release.

Yes, but this technology is essentially older than the Wii itself; It's said to be the equivalent of Xbox 360 (first released in 2005). If Nintendo's using technology from a generation ago it's bound to offset the cost of the controller at least a little.
