Legacy bosses are bosses that were found in previous Dragon Quest and Dragon Warrior games. Dragon Quest 9's post-game content allows you a chance to fight these bosses and gain some very powerful and interesting items. They are also the only place where you can get the coloured orb items, that are required to create some of the most powerful equipment through alchemy.
Legacy bosses have a neat aspect in that everytime you beat them, you have a choice to level them up or leave them at the current level that they are. The first time you fight them they start at level 1, and can go up to level 99. As they level up, they not only get stronger, but their item and equipment can change, and also the rates at which they drop.
Lizard lord who ravages all with great gouts of flame, and whose fire-retardant scales stop any such scorching in return.
This proud and mighty beast rules over all the dragon clans of the world with a high and haughty hand.
